Creative Destination Wedding Photography Bulgaria - Traditional Bulgarian Wedding

It was a very interesting experience to do this destination wedding photography in Bulgaria. The wedding was a most interesting one and took place in the countryside of Bulgaria. Ivan and Dilyara were dressed in traditional Bulgarian national costumes and the wedding was performed according to old Bulgarian traditions. It took place in a lovely medow near Shiroka Luka village and was followed by a big feast with a roasted lamb and lots of horo dancing (the traditional Bulgarian dance). For the family wedding photography we were very lucky with the weather as it didn't stop raining the days before the wedding, but we had a wonderful sunny day on the wedding day. In the early morning before the wedding ceremony we went with Ivan & Dilyara to the village to take some more artistic wedding photography photos. The old houses helped for the wedding photography be look like a truly authentic traditional Bulgarian wedding. With the greenery fresh from the rain you couldn't ask for a more beautiful background for this destination wedding photography in Bulgaria.

Meon Valley Wedding photography, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club wedding

The wedding of Sandra and Nick was in the lovely hotel Meon Valley, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club which had an amazing golf course and beautiful grounds. It was a small and intimate wedding as the couple has only invited the closest family some of who have travelled from Mexico to be with the couple in their wedding day in Southampton in the UK countryside.
Sandra and Nick were very easy going about the wedding photography pictures and we had plenty of time to do the family formal wedding portraits and then explore the beautiful grounds of Meon Vallye which had many opportunities for some creative wedding photography. I especially love the B&W photo where the bride is tenderly kissing the groom. I think this wedding photo shows so much tenderness and affection which as a wedding photographer I always try to portrait in my wedding photography.
The big wedding of Sandra and Nick will be a destination wedding in Mexico where Sandra is originally from. It will take place next year and I look forward to the opportunity of a destination wedding photography in Mexico. I have done a number of destination weddings in Italy, Portugal, France and Greece but a destination wedding photography in Mexico will be a totally unique experience for me as a destination wedding photographer.

Trash the dress photography at night in Central London

Trash the dress photography doesn't require the extreme of destroying the beautiful wedding dress but instead can be a opportunity of the bride to put on her wedding dress and capture some more romantic after wedding photography shots. And where could be a better place than at night on the background of some typical landmarks of London like the Parliament and the London Eye. Wedding photography in Central London in these landmarks can hardly be romantic during the day but at night with less tourists around and with the abundance of lights in the background central London can be ideal for a more creative after wedding photography version of trash the dress photography.
When we agreed with Maria and Enrico to make the trash the dress photography session we didn't expect that the temperature during the summer will drop so significantly. But Maria and Enrico heroically endured the rain and wind of the summer London weather and I think the result was worth the effort.
Though not the typical dramatic trash the dress photography which is often associated with getting the dress wet and dirty in the water usually in the beach after a beach wedding, I believe these after wedding photography is much more romantic. And it can be the perfect anniversary present the couple can make to themselves by booking an anniversary wedding photography session.

Engagement wedding photography London

When I met Martin and Kelly they have already married in the US. However as they were relocating to Europe they never had the chance to have engagement photography session. So we decided to combine some more relaxed romantic photos of an engagement photo shoot for them together with some photos of their lovely two dogs. We went for a walk in Richmond where the dogs would run freely while we were taking the engagement photos of Martin and Kelly. Having been photographed at their wedding Martin and Kelly were quite easy going in front of the camera so the engagement session was done quick and easy with plenty of time left to photograph their dogs. I actually quite enjoyed photographing the animals. Maybe I should consider expanding my portfolio to include animal portrait photography and studio pet photography. :)

Destination after wedding photography New York

Here are some photos of a more creative after wedding photography in New York. I know Caroline and Mike from London when they got married a couple of years ago and we have often joked that we should organise an after wedding photography session some day. We often joked that it will have to be in another country to make it more fun. And it was a nice coincidence that their trip to New York coincided with a destination wedding I had in New York in May. So Caroline took her wedding dress and we during my one week stay in New York we braved the crowds of Time Square in order to do a trash the dress photography session on the streets of New York. I wanted to do something a bit more different so I got my inspiration from some fashion magazines as I aimed for a more glamour wedding photography with more fashion trash the dress taste.
I love these trash the dress photos and I hope the modern bride is more eager to let go of her wedding dress and decide to do something more creative about it without the worry that it will get a bit dirty. After all there is dry cleaning and sitting in the waredrobe the wedding dress doesn't contribute to anything. While it's almost certain that your daughter will not wear your dress in 20 years time it's certain that you will love the photos that a trash the dress photography can give you.

Luxury Wedding Photography New York

I was thrilled to do my latest destination wedding photography in New York. It was a very charming and intimate wedding for the closest friends and family as Debbie and Nik were having a big destination wedding in Italy later in the year.
It was a pure treat that Debbie has organised a limo to pick me up from where I was staying in Astoria. The three bridemaids where also in the limo so we had a fun ride to Debbie's house where we started with the pre wedding photography of her getting ready. The May day in New York was slightly overcast but it worked perfectly for the family formal photos and the wedding photography of Debbie and Nik. Many brides wrongly think that overcast day on their wedding is a disaster but it's actually the best a wedding photographer can ask for. The overcast wedding day prevents harsh light from a direct sun which often shows as unflattering deep shadows under the eyes. Being a London wedding photographer I'm quite fortunate that there are a lot of overcast days.
Debbie and Nik are a truly beautiful couple which made the wedding photography really easy. These are my favourite wedding photography shots that we did just before we got to the restaurant for the party.
