Home House Birthday Event Photographer / London Event Photography

One of my returning clients has recently commissioned me to do the birthday photography of his wife’s birthday party. It was an important birthday celebration and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the birthday even celebration was to be in the exclusive London private club Home House in the heart of London.
I am working with a wedding planner who organizes a lot of events in Home House but until now I haven’t had the chance to do wedding photography in Home House but I was thrilled to have the chance to do the event photography in Home House for this birthday celebration.
Home House is a perfect wedding and events venue in Central London for those who are looking for something more luxurious and unique. Home House is London's most exclusive private members’ club. Occupying a terrace of Georgian townhouses in elegant Portman Square in the heart of London, the building represents the splendour of 18th Century architecture and the opulence of neo-classical design.
Home House Private Members Club (www. homehouse.co.uk) has welcomed and accommodated a wealth of hosts and guests over the centuries since its creation for Elizabeth Countess of Home. In 1773, George III’s architect, James Wyatt, was commissioned by Elizabeth, Countess of Home, to build a sophisticated ‘Pavilion’ designed purely for enjoyment and entertainment at N° 20 Portman Square. The notorious Countess, aptly known as ‘The Queen of Hell’, was originally from Jamaica and was in her late 60’s, twice widowed, childless and rich. In 1775, Wyatt was sacked from the project and his competitor Robert Adam was appointed to complete the interior of the house in the sumptuous Neo-Classical style. Throughout the years Home House was let to tenants including amongst others, the French Ambassador and the Courtauld Institute of Art. In 1996 Home House was meticulously restored to its former glory and opened in its current guise as a private members club in 1998.
With such a history and amazing interior it’s not surprising that Home House hosts some of the finest weddings in Central London and it’s certainly a privilege to be a wedding photographer for a wedding in Home House. But it is equally rewarding to be an event photographer in Home House. The event suited the interior with abundance of champagne and an exquisite decoration of the birthday dinner which was followed by a party celebration until late. Birthday event photography in Home House historic venue is a good start and I can only hope that my next job in this high end wedding venue in London will be a wedding photography job.
