Wedding Photographer at the Royal Automobile Club London / Elegant Wedding Photography London

It is always a pleasure to be recommended by existing clients since we all know that the best thing for a wedding photographer is word of mouth recommendation. So I was especially pleased when I got contacted to be the wedding photographer for this Iranian-Lebanese wedding in London following corporate wedding photography at the Dorchester hotel for the Persian New Year celebration (you can see the post here http://neliprahova.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/london-event-photography-at-dorchester.html). I have photographed a number of Persian weddings in London and in Monaco but it was the first time I was doing a wedding photographer for a Lebanese wedding in London.

The wedding was actually more of a celebration for the family in London as the couple have already married abroad. But the bride nevertheless was in a beautiful dress and looked radiant. The groom was equally handsome and it was certainly a treat to be the London wedding photographer for this beautiful couple on their London wedding celebration.

We started with some wedding photography in the family’s London house and then continued to photograph the celebration in the Royal Automobile Club in the heart of Central London. Both Persian weddings and Lebanese weddings are always very beautiful and intricate but as the couple has already married there was no intricate ceremony but only a beautiful event in the Royal Automobile Club which is an outstanding historic wedding venue on Pall Mall.

I’ve photographed weddings in the Lansdowne Club in London where I’m now a recommended photographer and The Royal Automobile Club is a reciprocal club with the Lansdowne Club but it was the first time I had the opportunity to be the wedding photographer in RAC which is indeed a beautiful historic wedding venue - a very elegant and at the same time very traditional wedding venue in London.

From what I have researched on this classic wedding venue the Royal Automobile Club was founded in 1897 by Frederick Richard Simms and its distinguished history mirrors that of motoring itself. Ten years later, in 1907, King Edward VII awarded the Club the Royal title that it still holds to this day, sealing the Club's status as Britain’s oldest and most influential motoring organisation.

The Club's early years were focused on promoting the motor car and its place in society. The Club promoted the first pre-war and post-war Grands Prix at Brooklands in 1926 and Silverstone in 1948.

Today, the Club continues to prosper with a diverse membership drawn from all four corners of the globe, two stunning and unique clubhouses, unsurpassed accommodation, dining, sports and golfing facilities and most importantly an outstanding classic wedding venue facilities in Pall Mall for those who want to get married in style and tradition in the heart of London.

Having enjoyed being the wedding photographer of this Persian wedding in the Royal Automobile Club I certainly hope there will be more opportunities for wedding photography in RAC.

Corporate Event photography at Spencer House in St. James’s London / London corporate event photographer

Corporate event photography in London usually means photography in a historic venue in Central London and it was certainly a treat to do the event photography of the annual summer corporate party for a famous legal firm in the renowned London venue Spencer House.

Spencer House is recognised as one of the most ambitious aristocratic town houses ever built in London. Spencer House was built in 1756-66 for John, first Earl Spencer, an ancestor of Princess Diana. Situated in the heart of St James's, Spencer House is a short distance from St James's Palace, Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster, and has a splendid terrace and garden with magnificent views of The Green Park.
This unique 18th century private house combines magnificent decadence and works of art with subtle personal touches that together provide a perfect backdrop for private & corporate events, receptions, weddings, meetings & presentations. So it was not surprising that a leading legal company in London has chosen this amazing London venue to celebrate its 10 year anniversary.
The event was accompanied with colourful cocktails and delicious canapés. As the event was held in June it was one of the first summer days and the guests were enjoying drinks on the terrace overlooking Green park under the beautiful classical music performance. The evening finished with a grand finale of splendid fireworks which made for a truly amazing celebration and certainly helped to capture some wonderful corporate event photography in London.

Having spoken with the event coordinator in Spencer House I hope to be one of the recommended photographers for this historic London wedding venue. Spencer house is especially popular for Russian clients organizing events or weddings in London and as a Russian speaking wedding photographer in London I hope next summer to have the opportunity for a wedding photography job in Spencer House in St James’s in London.

London materntiy photography session in the nature / Pregnancy photographer London

Pregnancy photography is a very personal type of photography for a woman especially when it comes to some more revealing photos. Undressing for the purpose of capturing some photographs is probably one of the last things on the mind of a heavily pregnant woman. Boudoir photography in London has been a growing trend for brides over the last years, but pregnancy photography has been increasing in popularity and even maternity boudoir photography.
Photographing moms-to-be while their bodies are going through such an amazing change is an important part of telling their story. My idea when doing pregnancy photography is for the woman to be able to see herself as beautiful, strong, and sexy. So I aim for the photos to be elegant and classy but also sexy.
The amount of time that women get to carry a baby is so very short in the grand scheme of our lives that it’s amazing to be able to capture that time to remember forever. It is recommended to do pregnancy photography in the 7^th and 8^th months when the belly is showing well enough without being too heavy so the length of time to capture this moment is quite short. Maternity photography is that much more challenging than ordinary portrait photography as almost any pregnant woman is conscious of the extra kilos and often needs special lighting and poses in order to achieve flattering elegant pictures in the last months of the pregnancy.
Very often woman do not consider maternity photography with a professional photographer until after the pregnancy when they realize they only have an occasional photo but nothing particular to portray that special time of their life. When doing pregnancy photography it’s important to do a lot of research beforehand to see what type of poses and attire you like most. It’s also important to discuss the ideas with the photographer. Some clients prefer very dark moody photos showing just the silhouettes of the belly while others prefer pregnancy photos outdoors in the nature.
Kelly has missed taking professional maternity photographs with her first pregnancy and was keen to capture this special moment with her second pregnancy. The big garden at her countryside house was the perfect nature setting for beautiful pregnancy photography shots. Having done most maternity photography in London in a studio it was a special treat to have a client who preferred to do outdoors pregnancy photography in London.
Pregnancy is beautiful, and something worth celebrating. How you choose to remember that special time is up to you. But if you’re feeling beautiful while pregnant I would be delighted to capture some maternity photographs either in a studio in Central London or outdoors with a natural background.
